Phase 1 of Nevada Unemployment Insurance Modernization Project begins, older UINV Employer Self Service will be taken offline Sunday
CARSON CITY — The Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation is nearing the finish line for Phase 1 rollout of Nevada’s Unemployment Insurance modernization project. DETR’s older UINV Employer Self Service (ESS) will be taken offline Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
The new Nevada Unemployment Insurance Employer Self Service (NUI ESS) is set to launch on February 20, 2024. Phase 1 only impacts the state’s employer tax/contributions site.
“This is history in the making. We have been working hard to make sure the project is a success, and we are proud of the system we are launching,” said DETR Director Christopher Sewell. “We are excited to offer employers many new and improved features.”
What employers need to know:
The current employer website (UINV Employer Self Service or ESS) will be taken offline Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
While ESS is offline, employers can contact DETR Contributions utilizing any of the methods offered on this page here.
NUI ESS launches Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 8:00 a.m.
Unemployment benefit claims will not be affected.
Unemployment benefit claimants will be addressed in Phase 2 of the project; rollout of Phase 2 is scheduled to be implemented in the 3rd quarter of 2025.
To ensure Contribution Quarterly Wage Reports are submitted timely for Quarter 1, employers should sign up for NUI ESS starting February 20, 2024. Quarter 1 2024 wage reports and payments are due April 30, 2024.
