Chance of snow showers tonight may affect commute
An incoming weak low pressure system may provide a slight chance for snow showers Wednesday afternoon and evening that could affect the commute between Carson City, Carson Valley and Reno areas, according to the National Weather Service.
A few showers are possible late this afternoon and evening but accumulation potential is less certain around Carson City and Reno, according to a Special Weather Statement from the weather service. A few inches of snow is possible around the Lake Tahoe Basin and north of Interstate 80 through Western Nevada.
Although the system is a weak one with only a couple inches of snow possible, it may still create traffic delays, icy roads and possible chain controls over mountain passes, according to the weather service.
