Construction at Carson Mall expected to bring in Chipotle Mexican Grill, dental office

Officials with Metcalf Builders, Inc. confirmed that a new retail annex is being built on the south side of the Carson Mall, at the corner of South Carson and Stewart streets.
The Carson City construction contractor said the project will feature 5,000 square feet divided into two spaces.
Chipotle Mexican Grill — a Denver, CO-based fast food restaurant chain established in 1993 — is expected to occupy 2,000 square feet of the annex, Metcalf officials said.
Chipotle currently operates more than 2,000 chains nationwide, including three in the Reno/Sparks area. This would be the company's first restaurant in the Nevada state capital.
The other 3,000 square feet is expected to be occupied by Pacific Dental — an Irvine, CA-based dental services company with more than 275 locations across the southwest United States, including six in the Reno/Sparks area.
Metcalf officials said construction of the annex is scheduled for completion in June.
A message has been left with the Eureka, CA-based Carrington Company — owner of the Carson Mall property — for details on when Chipotle and Pacific Dental are expected to occupy the new retail annex.
