Dayton couple arrested for drug trafficking
Timathie Dean-Simpson, 27, and his wife, Julia Johanna Wayne, 29, where arrested early Thursday morning after Carson City deputies found the couple in a hotel room with 8.2 grams of methamphetamine.
According to the arrest report, deputies approached Dean-Simpson when they saw him sitting in a casino on Highway 50 East with another male subject who appeared to be a juvenile, and who also seemed to be high on meth. The subject didn't have ID, and deputies learned that he was a juvenile with a felony burglary warrant out of Lyon County.
While taking the juvenile into custody, the deputies questioned Dean-Simpson, who said he had a room at the casino with his wife, Julia Wayne. He didn't give the deputies the authority to search his room, but did provide a vehicle description. The vehicle was registered to Wayne, who deputies learned had an outstanding felony warrant for uttering a forged instrument out of Lyon County.
When the deputies went up to the room, they found Wayne in bed clutching a hypodermic device and a makeup bag under the covers. Inside they found three baggies totaling 8.2 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and drug paraphernalia, the arrest report states.
Dean-Simpson was arrested on suspicion of felony level 1 drug trafficking and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $21,137. Wayne was arrested on suspicion of felony level 1 drug trafficking and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, plus the felony warrant for uttering a forged instrument. Her bail was set at $26,137.
