Carson City emergency crews called to accidents on Highway 50 East and near high school
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday afternoon to two vehicle accidents, one in the 1400 block of East William Street near Carson High School and the other in the 4700 block of Highway 50 East.
The first crash was reported at around 2:20 p.m. and involved two vehicles near the area of Saliman Road and East William streets. The vehicles had pulled into the parking lot of Walgreens. Minor injuries were reported with the those involved declining medical transport.
The second two-vehicle crash was reported at around 2:25 p.m. in the 4700 block of Highway 50 East, between Empire Ranch Road and East Nye Lane. Carson City Fire Department first responders report significant damage to the vehicles in a t-bone type collision. One person was to be taken to the hospital via ground ambulance.
Nevada Highway Patrol is responding to the Highway 50 East crash, which is in the eastbound lane. Motorists can expect delays.
