Carson City Fire Department responds to sagging utility cable on King Street near schools
Carson City Fire Department responded late Wednesday morning to a sagging utility cable line on King Street near Bordewich Bray Elementary School.
At around 11 a.m. Carson City responders were contacted regarding the bowing cable line. While not a live electric line, a fire department battalion chief on scene reports that it may be problematic for large commercial trucks.
Carson City School District is on early release Wednesday, with Carson City Middle School releasing at noon and Bordewich Bray releasing students at 12:40 p.m. Motorists along King Street may encounter delays.
A cable crew has been dispatched to make repairs.
