Carson City Humane Society’s Pet of the Week: Sir Scrapes-a-lot
Happy Thursday, Carson City! It’s a perfect day to meet Sir Scrapes-a-lot, Carson City Humane Society’s newest Pet of the Week.
As a staff pick, Sir Scrapes-a-lot has the coolest name out of all the cats at the shelter. This gentleman is sweet, cuddly and loves hanging out in his bed.
At two-years-old, he’s spent a lot more time in the shelter than he would like. He was surrendered in late November due to inappropriate elimination. However, our staff has seen a vast improvement in his behavior and are proud of the progress he’s made.
Sir Scrapes-a-lot enjoys being around people and even more so when there’s treats involved. Cat nip, scratching posts, long naps and cuddles are the fastest way to his heart. All in all, if you're looking for a fearless, friendly, and entertaining cat, he just might be a purrfect match.
Let’s hear from Sir Scrapes-a-lot himself.
“I like paper bags, empty boxes, head and chin scratches and warm laps to sit on. I love to be picked up and cuddled, even if I have to wear a sweater. I know I look cute all dressed up, but sometimes the temptation to scratch can be too much!”
You can meet Sir Scrapes-a-lot by visiting the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road in Carson City, or by calling (775) 887-2171 to find out more.
