Support groups in Carson City offered for caregivers, families of loved ones with Alzheimer's or dementia
Do you have a loved one that has Alzheimer's or another form of dementia? Don't try to do it alone, the Alzheimer's Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada is here to help and support you. Yes, it is a challenging time but there is a 24/7 helpline 1-800-272-3900.
There are also two in-person support groups in Carson City. These support groups provide a place where you can learn, share, and be with others who understand and appreciate your caregiving journey. The support groups aim is to help with providing information, and supporting you as a caregiver.
The group meetings are held:
— The second Wednesday of the month at 1 pm at the Carson Cancer Center Conference Room 1535 Medical Parkway, Carson City.
— The fourth Wednesday of the month at 2:30 pm at the Carson City Senior Center in the Joshua Tree room, 911 Beverly Dr.
