Carson City deputies called to shots fired into residence, suspect vehicle crashes, 2 detained
Carson City Sheriff's Office patrol officers responded Wednesday night to shots fired into a residence in the 2200 block fo East Long Street.
Multiple 911 calls came into dispatch at around 7:10 p.m. of several shots fired into a residence and a vehicle that left the area of the shooting.
Minutes later, there was a report of the suspect vehicle that left the area that crashed near the overpass at I-580 and Fairview, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
The vehicle occupants took off running in a field in the 2300 block of Fairview. Officers located and detained two males who were found hiding.
A gun was located in the crashed vehicle with five spent rounds, according to officers on scene.
CCSO Investigators are interviewing the occupants of the residence on Long Street, said Furlong.
