Pair in custody after fleeing from Lyon County sheriff's deputies in Smith Valley area
UPDATE: The pair were taken into custody this morning on Pinion Drive in Smith Valley without incident, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is looking for a pair involved in a vehicle theft Sunday in Smith Valley, which prompted authorities to briefly ask residents to shelter in place after the suspects fled on foot.
At approximately 4:26 p.m. the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a stolen vehicle and located the vehicle going southbound on Highway 95A. The occupants fled from deputies. Both suspects were last seen in the area of Day Lane in Smith Valley, Nev.
The sheriff's office sent out a bulletin that night asking for residents of Smith Valley in southwestern Lyon County to shelter in place due to the suspects having fled on foot.
The suspects are: Michael Stephen Pappas, 25, years old, Hispanic, approximately 6 foot and 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. The female is suspect is Chanel Khanna Priya, 26 years old, 5 feet five inches, 105 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. See photo.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office advises that if you see either of these people, do not make contact with them and call 911.
