Nevada falls to Ohio 30-21 in Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
Ohio’s potent rushing attack held off Nevada’s late comeback bid in a 30-21 loss during the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Friday at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho.
The Bobcats’ 288 rushing yards held off Nevada’s 12 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Ohio dominated the line of scrimmage for most of the contest, but the Wolf Pack’s resilience came alive in the second half.
After a late-season push to become bowl eligible, Nevada ended the year with a 7-6 record and 4-4 in conference. The Wolf Pack haven’t won at Albertsons Stadium/Bronco Stadium — home turf of the conference rival Boise State Broncos — since 1997.
