Dayton students learn Carson River lessons during River Wranglers class
These past few months River Wranglers have been working with Dayton Schools on Conserve the Carson River Workdays. Dayton High School marine science class helped River Wranglers work with Dayton Elementary, Riverview Elementary, and Sutro Elementary.
The students had the opportunity to preform water quality tests in the river. In addition, they learned about beaver adaptations, geography of the Carson River Watershed, and non-point source pollution.
The outdoor education is a valuable experience they will remember for years to come. Preserving the health of the Carson River and the Carson River Watershed is in their hands.
River Wranglers Inspiring youth through hands-on learning to explore, conserve, and understand the importance of local rivers.
