Breakfast with Santa coming to Governor’s Mansion in Carson City December 16
As a young mother hoping to create positive and lasting holiday memories for my daughter, I would book us for breakfast with Santa that usually took place in a large department store when we lived in Washington D.C and San Diego.
The event was memorable though I don’t recall the menu, for the food was secondary to the overall event. What I recall most was the delight of children as they spied Santa and Mrs. Claus or the elves.
However, having a Breakfast with Santa at our Governor’s Mansion is a unique place not open to all and sure beats a department store!
I have enjoyed being a resident of Carson City for the past 25 years and have often thought it might be nice to reprise this type of holiday event for Carson’s young families.
Thus, as an expansion of the Chamber’s involvement in creating another special holiday tradition will be launched on Saturday, December 16 as Santa joins us for breakfast at the Governor’s Mansion. Already tickets are going quickly.
We are happy United Federal Credit Union is partnering with us generously allowing us to keep the cost affordable. The cost is $5 per person. Advanced reservations only, no walk-ins.
Offered will be Santa’s favorite pancakes with all sorts of toppings and sausages cooked by Carol Park and Dan Lively, the great chefs from the Carson City Elks Club. Also served will be hot chocolate, coffee, juice, and more.
There will be two seatings: one at 9:30 am and the second at 11 am. RSVP prior to December 11.
Santa will be available for personal consultation with each child and will present each child a memento of the occasion. Limited seating.
We anticipate this event to sell out, thus book early by going on line
