Find Grant Funding with Foundation Directory Online; Carson City Library to Offer Class
Carson City Library will offer a c lass on how to use the Foundation Directory Online on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. Updated weekly, the Foundation Directory Online Professional provides access to essential facts on grantmakers and their funding activities worldwide.
To pinpoint prospective funders, patrons will learn how to search the database by grantmakers, companies, grants, and 990s. With geographic search tools, patrons will learn how to zoom in on regional and local grantmakers. Choose from over 1,100 indexed search terms or keyword-search. Interactive maps and charts show a funder’s giving trends, and patrons can click through to see recipient lists and grant details.
The Foundation Directory Online is a service of the Foundation Center; Carson City Library is among the more than 470 Funding Information Network locations (formerly known as Cooperating Collections) which provide free access to a variety of databases of foundations and other grant funders through the Foundation Center.
Seating is very limited; register early for the class. Please go to www.carsoncitylibrary.org/use/two-classes.
