Spirited Investigations offers once in a lifetime ghost hunt inside Sutro Tunnel

October 14, 2023 - 6:30pm On Wednesday, Oct. 11 Ghost Adventures will air the episode they did at the Sutro Tunnel. Yes, Ghost Adventures investigated "our" Sutro Ghost Town. However, they were not able to enter the tunnel.
Join Spirited Investigations for a special one time only investigation experience for our end of season Oct. 14 event. For the first time ever, you can investigate inside the recently restored entrance inside the historic Sutro Tunnel.
Our investigation typically includes access to the privately-owned Ghost Town of Sutro, Nev., and several historic buildings on the historic Sutro Tunnel Site. Now, for one night only, you can investigate inside the newly restored entrance of the iconic Sutro Tunnel, which connects directly to the labyrinth of the historic Comstock mines directly beneath Virginia City, NV nearly 4 miles away, underground.
The investigation party will be segmented into two groups: while one group is investigating inside the Sutro Tunnel Portal Entrance, another group will investigate in and around the various buildings throughout the historic ghost town of Sutro, Nev.
Using paranormal investigative equipment and techniques, you can try to make contact with the spirits still in residence on the property. You will visit all of the buildings on the property including the Schulz House and Rosa May's home.
A group photo will be taken in front of the famous Sutro Tunnel portal and posted on our Facebook page.
Construction of the Sutro Tunnel began 1869 and continued operation until World War II. From the days of the tunnel digging and construction to its operational days and then its later years, the 150 years after it was started there has been much activity and history created at this historical treasure. Spend the evening learning the local history and investigating the paranormal at this exclusive 28-acre site.
Wear appropriate clothing (long pants and closed toe shoes) and bring:
1) Flashlight
2) Large bottle of water
3) Something to eat if you tend to get "hangry"
This is a Nevada ghost town and there will be wildlife and tripping hazards. We also encourage our guests to bring their own ghost hunting equipment. No drugs or alcohol on this adventure. Ages 18+ please.
— Disclaimer: Sutro Tunnel investigation access requires all participants to follow all posted and verbally instructed rules and safety guidelines. While inside the Sutro Tunnel, you must wear the hard hat provided to you at all times. All guests must remain within the designated space (the restored first 50 feet inside the entrance of the Tunnel) and may not go past the wooden gate into the unrestored portion of the tunnel under any circumstances. All investigators and guests must sign a liability waiver to gain access inside the Sutro Tunnel.
