Buzzworthy blooms Saturday celebration of pollinator perennials comes to Carson City Farmer’s Market
Want to learn which perennial flowers are best for pollinators? Want to show your kids how bees pollinate flowers, or how to make a Seed Bomb to make your garden explode with color next year?
This Saturday, Sept. 28, Carson’s Bee City #76, along with Bee Friendly Nevada, the Greenhouse Garden Project, Vital Bee Buds and the UNR Master Gardener Program of Carson City are teaming up to host this first-ever event to celebrate pollinators and the beautiful flowers they rely on for nourishment. Perennial flower give aways every hour, with a grand prize announcement at 12:30 p.m. Must be present to win.
Bee Friendly Nevada will be on hand to share their program for Pollinator Protection, bringing great information about how to protect pollinators in the garden, and promote their value as a vital part of the landscape and ecosystem. Pick up a Pollinator Garden Sign and Take the Pledge to protect and enhance your garden for local pollinators!
