Carson Freshman Football Rolls 41-14 over Reno
The Carson Senator Freshman Football team rolled into Reno High School on Thursday afternoon and dominated the game from the opening kick.
The Senators offense was hitting on all cylinders as they scored on all 5 possessions in the first half to open up a 34-0 lead at the intermission.
Ethan Hendee was all over the field returning kicks, intercepting passes, and making acrobatic catches. Drake Hardcastle was outstanding directing the Senator attack from under center. Angelo Macias, Caden Wilcox, and Bradley Pastro led the Senator rushing attack, behind a big strong dominating performance by the Senator Line. Cam Therres, Christian Gabriel, Justin Tibbitts, Charles Ore, and Spencer Fitzpatrick did the dirty work up front.
The Senators tacked on one more score to extend the lead to 41-0 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. A strong defensive effort was led by linebackers JT Heaton, Wilcox, Tavin Miller, Jett Rupert, Devin Zervoulakis, and Pastro.
Gabriel, Tibbetts, Fitzpatrick, Ore, and Izaiah Oliva dominated up front, and the secondary led by Hendee, Jake Weninger, Kekoa Mitchell, Jesse Oliva, and Jimmy Sapien didn't let the Huskies accomplish much through the air.
Reno scored twice late in the fourth quarter to bring the final score to 41-14.
The Baby Sens are now 2-0 on the season and play Galena High School next Thursday at home at 3:30.
