Donna Inversin presents 'The Historic Virginia & Truckee Trail' at Dangberg Historic Park
On Saturday, August 17, from 10:00-11:00 am, Donna Inversin will speak on “The Historic Virginia and Truckee Trail: From Old Railroad to Future Rail Trail.”
Donna Inversin will give a presentation on the nonprofit’s effort to find the remaining sections of old rail bed routes to bring them together in order to build a multi-use path of between sixty and eighty miles, which will echo the Virginia and Truckee Railroad. The trail is being designed for the benefit and enjoyment of the citizens and visitors of Northern Nevada.
Donna Inversin is a retired registered nurse who is enthusiastic about the outdoors and believes that staying active is important to maintaining one’s physical and emotional health. Invernsin has been a member of the Board of Directors for Muscle Powered; Citizens for a Walkable/Bikeable Carson City since 2007 and is currently serving her fourteenth year on the Carson City Open Space Advisory Committee. She is a founding member and current President of The Historic Virginia and Truckee Trail.
This event is free for all to attend.
Please bring your own seating and no pets allowed – certified service animals only. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy as no food or beverages will be sold at these events.
