Congressman Amodei to Speak at August Navy League Dinner
The Carson City Council of the United States Navy League will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino, Hwy 50 East in Carson City. The Social hour will start at 5:30 PM and Dinner will begin at 6:30PM.
Our speaker will be Congressman Mark Amodei, 2nd District of Nevada. Congressman Amodei was first elected to Congress in 2011 after serving in the Nevada state Assembly for 2 years and in the Nevada State Senate for 12 years. He was President Pro Tempore of the Nevada State Senate from 2003 to2008. Congressman Amodei has always been a great supporter of the military; Active duty, Veterans, Military families, and Retirees. Congressman Amodei is an Army Veteran and has a Daughter who is a Navy Veteran. He understands the sacrifices made by our military and works to help all.

The Navy League of the United States was founded in 1902 by President Theodore Roosevelt and is a civilian organization with more than 50,000 members dedicated to educating American citizens and elected officials about the importance of sea power to U.S national security. We also support the men and women of the sea services and their families. The Carson City Council sponsors and supports Navy and Marine personnel at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center near Bridgeport, CA and NAS Fallon, NV, as well as, the Carson High Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Command and Navy Regional Recruiting Command.
