New food and personal care pantry opens in Carson City
The Carson City Seventh-day Adventist Church has opened a pantry for Carson City and the surrounding communities.
"The Pantry stocks non-perishable food and personal care items — everything from canned goods and cereal, to soap, toothpaste, diapers, baby wipes and laundry detergent," said Pastor Tony Brandon. "We invite anybody who has a need to visit our Pantry and see how we can help. There is a very short form to complete, and each family will get at least 2 bags to fill."
Pantry hours are Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The address is 405 College Parkway in Carson City. Pantry visitors should go across the church parking lot to the building by the playground. The Northwest corner door will be open during pantry hours.
