Father's Day Powwow continues this weekend at Stewart Indian School campus in Carson City
The annual Stewart Father's Day Powwow at the former Stewart Indian Boarding School Campus in Carson City is underway, continuing through Sunday.
Located at 5500 Snyder Ave in Carson City, there is more than 40 Native American arts and crafts as well as food vendors, competition and social dancing.
Festivities began Friday and continue today, Saturday, June 15 beginning at 9 am with a Stewart Alumni Brunch at the Stewart gym (Alumni please RSVP at snez@nic.nv.gov or 775-687-7605).
Grand Entry for the powwow is at 1 pm, with a dinner break from 4 pm to 6:30 pm.
On Sunday June 16 grand entry is at noon. We look forward to seeing you there!
