Olympic Day at Carson City BMX
Carson City BMX has joined forces as part of USABMX with the United States Olympic Committee to offer a free day of BMX racing.
That day is Sunday, June 18, 2017. The goals of Olympic Day is to promote the Olympic values, sportsmanship, perseverance, fair play and respect, regardless of age, gender or athletic ability.
Signups are 9 to 10 a.m. The event is free. Must have a bike (we have only a couple of loaners). Bikes must not have kickstand, chain guard, protruding reflectors or pegs.
Riders must wear fully enclosed shoes (NO sandals, flip flops), long pants, long sleeve shirt, gloves recommended and of course, helmet (we do have loaners). And to top it all off, it is Father’s Day after all.
There will be a special race (lap or two) for those dads who never grew up and want to give it a try.
Under 18 must have parent/guardian on hand to sign waiver; dads, should have significant other, wives, or even their mothers on hand to document evidence for future laughs.
