Interfaith Table Talk with Rajan Zed
On May 28, an interfaith group gathered at the Coffee Bar in Reno to hear Rajan Zed, President of the Universal Society of Hinduism, who spoke on the status of religions in the world.
Present were members of the Latter Day Saints, Christian Science, Catholic, Presbyterian, Hinduism, and the Baha’i Faith.
Zed gave a broad overview of demographics, historical perspectives, and some of the similarities/differences in the 12 major world religions.
The questions posed to Zed were interesting and varied. In the end, participants all felt that all of our faiths have more commonalities than differences; that interfaith dialogues bring people together to learn from one another; and that the Golden Rule is the bedrock of all of our religions.
