Health and Wellness Hub Thanks Lyon and Storey Teachers

May 11, 2018 - 9:00am This week is national Teacher Appreciation Week. Most people wish they had told their best teachers how much they appreciated them. This week, members of the Lyon and Storey region’s Health and Wellness Hub are making sure that the teachers of the school districts in Lyon and Storey know we appreciate the profoundly important work they do everyday.
We know teachers help make the two districts among the highest performing in the state of Nevada. We notice the frequent regional and statewide awards our communities’ teachers earn. We hear about the victories students achieve with their teachers leading the way.
And in our own realms of social work, juvenile justice, mental health services, etc., we know about some of the unsung work that teachers do. Teachers frequently come in early, leave late, or miss lunches to make sure students have the things they need to thrive.
We want to thank teachers for their love, service and care. Thank you for the beautiful work you do to prepare the next generation. Your commitment to the well-being and success of our region’s students has an enormous, positive impact.
