Letters and Songs from Vietnam featured at Genoa show Saturday to benefit disabled veterans
Join Alex Woodard, Molly Jenson, and Ike Marr as they present the letters and songs of For The Sender: Love Letters from Vietnam in an intimate setting to benefit DAV, a non-profit that provides a lifetime of support to veterans of all wars.
For The Sender: Love Letters from Vietnam revolves around the true, extraordinary letters sent back in time from a daughter to her father, who was a soldier stationed in Vietnam in 1968. You'll hear those letters, read in the voice of both the daughter and the ghost of her father, and hear the songs they inspired in an experience that the Huffington Post is calling 'important, enlightening, and ultimately inspiring.'
Response from attendees at sold-out shows ('Thank you for a beautiful night that truly changed my life.' -D.D.') to Billboard Magazine ('one of the year's most touching, unique releases') to the late Dr. Wayne Dyer ('an inspiring, thought-provoking, and life-changing work) to Deepak Chopra ('a beautiful tribute to the resilience of the human spirit') and even Ellen Degeneres ('I love this!') has propelled the For The Sender project into this third evolution.
