A few showers today, rain and river runoff add to park area flooding along Morgan Mill Road
More rain showers are in the forecast on this Sunday, according to the National Weather Service, adding to soggy conditions and rain-soaked saturated areas around Morgan Mill Road and up through Empire Ranch Golf Course which have experienced flooding.
CarsonWeather.com reports Carson City received slightly over an inch of rain on Saturday, adding to a total so far of 17.32 inches of rain since Jan. 1.
The good news, for now anyway, is there isn't any flood watches or warnings for Carson City at this time and the showers will be decreasing.
Low pressure will drop slowly south this afternoon with residual showers and a few thunderstorms possible for the Sierra and western Nevada, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow showers may impact the higher terrain at Lake Tahoe and the eastern Sierra through midday. Ridging briefly makes an appearance early this week before another trough approaches the area on Thursday.
