Carson City author Benjamin Miller releases newest novel

Aspiring novelist and Carson City resident Benjamin Miller has released his latest book "Buck," a mystery drama taking place in rural Nevada to be enjoyed by the public.

"It's a story of the harsh life of a bashful young man with no direction turned rookie detective. High Schoolers and up will love the story, its funny, its deep, I know everyone who gives it a chance will enjoy it in some way," Miller said.

Miller has had a long lasting enjoyment for creating and sharing his works since his earliest exposure in promoting his graphic artwork in grade school. From thriller novels to children's books, Benjamin has high ambitions to continue his craft in the literature world.

UPDATE 2:03PM: A mechanical issue is likely to blame for a presence of light smoke inside a Carson Tahoe Hospital care facility on North Minnesota Street, according to Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Shirey. All those evacuated are now allowed back into the facility.

The Capital City Arts Initiative announces its exhibition, "Inside and Outside the Lines", with artwork by artists Jonathan Farber and Susan Kotler at the city’s Sierra Room located in the Carson City Community Center, 851 E William Street, Carson City.

Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District christened Marine 24 earlier this month, giving Lake Tahoe its first year-round firefighting boat. At a cost of nearly $500,000, the vessel is able to fight fires from on board as well as piping water from the lake into water tenders.
