Carson City Parks and Recreation 2018 high school basketball league registration opens
Don’t forget that the Carson City Parks and Recreation High School Basketball League registration is still open and will be through Monday, Feb. 12.
Carson City Parks and Recreation offers two different divisions for this league, a Boys Division and a Girls Division. This league was created to allow any and all high school students that enjoy the sport of basketball the opportunity to play with their peers.
This league is open to Freshman through Seniors, all of which will go through a “tryout” or “warmup” where they will be assessed on their skills and then teams will be selected by Carson City Park and Recreation staff and the volunteer coaches.
Once teams are selected the teams will have several practices before jumping into a 10 game season (officiated by Carson City Parks and Recreation officials) that will be capped off with the third annual end of the season, one day, winner take all tournament with prizes to the winning team.
Practices and game times will take place twice a week with times and days of the week varying depending on division. To register you can do so online at www.carson.org/ccpr or over the counter at the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center (MAC), Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
For any question or more details on the league or any of our other programs please call the MAC at 775-887-2339. We are looking forward to a great 2018 Season.
