Sierra-Tahoe Fleet Reserve Association announces local student essay contest winners
Congratulations to the 15 local area middle and high school students who have been awarded cash prizes for their entries into the Annual Fleet Reserve Association Essay Contest.
The local Sierra-Tahoe FRA Branch No. 137 is proud to support this event and to acknowledge the winners! This year’s theme was entitled “The Bill of Rights and Me."
The decision to determine the top 3 winners for each grade level was a difficult decision for the judges and we are happy to announce the outcome.
The winners of the contest were as follows:
12th Grade
First Place - Joshua Baker, Yerington H.S.
Second Place – Annalynn Mueller, Sierra Lutheran H.S.,
3rd Place – Megan Ramirez, Yerington H.S.
11th Grade
First Place- MacKenzie Tackett, Carson H.S.
Second Place – Ryan Olson, Douglas H.S.,
Third Place, Danessa Wilhelm.
10th Grade
First Place and only entry, Jade Chapman, Sierra Lutheran Church H.S.
9th Grade
