Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Wed, 10/09/2013 - 10:59amA small male dog was hit by two vehicles while trying to cross Highway 395 heading west in Carson City. He wasn't wearing a collar. There was nothing the driver of the SUV could have done.
The big delivery truck was beside in the outside lane and it was just too many wheels for the little guy. I stopped in the road with my emergency lights and picked him up and carried to the roadside. I then called Carson City Animal Services to come.
Please keep your critters safe and adopt a critter if you can so they aren't out there alone against 1000's of us and our killing machines.
