The Carson High School Cross Country team would like to invite all area kids entering 4th through 8th grades to attend the CHS Youth Running Camp at Peter Livermore Sports Complex, 8 to 10 a.m. Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2.

Kids & Horses is offering their popular summer camp program starting on August 5, and ending on August 9. Camp runs daily from 8:15 a.m. to noon. Reno, Nevada-based gastroenterologist, Dr. Dennis Yamamoto, met his wife, Mary (Oberski) Yamamoto, during her work-study shift at a dining hall at Michigan State University in 1970. Mary and Dr. Yamamoto began dating as they completed their studies — hers in social work and his in medicine — before they married in 1973 and eventually started a family welcoming twin children and later, four grandsons.
