Tribal environmental spokesman to speak at Democratic luncheon

Monday's Democratic Luncheon will kick off Earth Week with a presentation by Clifford Banuelos, Tribal-State Environmental Liaison for the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada (ITCN) with the State of Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP). In that role he works with bureaus under NDEP and the Tribes of Nevada to coordinate and consult on environmental projects and concerns. He also works with the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), which NDEP falls under.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Precinct caucuses start at 10 a.m, and are to end by 11:30 a.m. The county convention will open at 1 p.m. and will end no later than 5:30 p.m.

Of course, when he arrived here with his brother Orion Clemens, he was known then as Samuel Langhorne Clemens. It was on February 3, 1863 that he became Mark Twain - thus the writer Mark Twain could be considered as born here.
