Saxophonist Joel Edwards on The Brother Dan Show today at Bank Saloon
This week, The Brother Dan Show invites local audiences to The Bank Saloon in Carson City this Monday for an afternoon of music and interview with Joel Edwards.
Joel began performing in Reno while studying for his masters in music degree at UNR. Even before graduation he was performing locally, first in smaller venues, and soon began to get calls from local casino orchestras. As a result, Joel has performed with many of the major shows, acts, and recording artists who have passed through Reno over the last 30 years.
Joel has multiple recording credits, including original smooth jazz CD’s, and has spent multiple years with local gaming companies, including IGT and Bally Technologies, composing and developing sounds and music for slot machines and other gaming devices. Joel also played on Brother Dan’s first all-original CD “Nothing Better Than This.”
Currently, Joel continues to perform in support of other local acts, as well as making occasional solo appearances, performing smooth jazz and pop hits.
Host Brother Dan Palmer will interview and make music with this exceptional musician, and local audiences 21 and over are invited to attend. Music starts at 4:30pm, with the livestream available on the host’s music page at 5:00pm. Snacks are provided for the in-person audience by show sponsor Mangia Tutto.
The Brother Dan Show features a variety of local and regional artists in a casual chat/jam format. The show provides an excellent opportunity for viewers to gain insight into the life and times of talented artists.
The Bank Saloon is located at 418 S. Carson St. in Carson City and offers fine craft cocktails along with a weekly line-up of entertainment, including The Brother Dan Show on Mondays, plus a selection of local musical acts on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
