Welcome to the Carson City Chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby. Our chapter includes people from Carson City and the surrounding areas who are concerned about climate issues and want to take action to lessen the impact of climate change.

Shirley Jean Bouer Whitcome died November 12, 2023, at Carson Tahoe Hospital. She was 92 years old. Shirley was born on March 12, 1931, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Her family relocated many times during her childhood and in 1948 she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Los Angeles. She settled in Carson City in 1951, living here for 72 years.

Two days before his 21 birthday, Jan. 20, 2020, Carson City local Jake Sullivan Roman died from injuries he suffered in a tragic accident. As a registered organ donor, his liver and both kidneys saved three people.
