Children's Museum, Carson City CASA to host Pokemon Go Party

We are traveling the world this year! During the 5-day art camp students ages 5-10 will “visit” Asia, South America, Europe, Africa, and Australia to experience the art, culture, and music of these continents. Each day of the week will focus on the art and traditions of each of the continents. Each camper will have their “passport” stamped daily and will design a “travel bag” for all of their camp art projects.

Coin Press No. 1, which stamped coins at the Carson City Mint from 1870 to 1893, will operate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 4 at the Nevada State Museum in Carson City. This will be the first time the museum has operated Coin Press No. 1 since it closed temporarily in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
