Local livestream The Brother Dan Show has been streaming every Monday for over three years, and now streams from the Bank Saloon in Carson City.

The show will take a one-week pause in broadcasting, but the show must go on, and the local in-person audience will be treated to a fun afternoon of music by the show’s director, Brian Lester.

The Silver City Volunteer Library is hosting its First Annual Book Sale. The group runs a community library inside the historic Silver City School House and has a huge selection of wonderful books to choose from. Some categories of books for sale are: children's books, fiction, biography, history, art books, DIY, field guides, cook books and collectibles. There will also be a bake sale featuring goodies from some notable local bakers!

The dog park at Fuji Park in Carson City will be closed Friday, May 20 for gate maintenance and repairs.

Sierra Nevada Realtors is holding their annual Alyce McCracken Golf Tournament on June 3. The tournament is played in honor of Realtor Alyce McCracken, a resident of Northern Nevada who had a passion for continuing education and training.

The Carson City Symphony Association will present a free concert featuring Music of the Andes on Saturday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m., at Empire Elementary School, 1260 Monte Rosa Drive in Carson City. The concert features Kantu Inka —Carlos and Julie Ocampa — who have been presenting Peruvian Andean music in the U.S. since 2003.
