The Carson City Symphony Association announces the seventh annual instrumental music scholarship for Carson City students age 5 to 17. The scholarship was established by a generous gift from Jennifer and John Webley in memory of Rosemary Nebesky, former board member and friend of the Carson City Symphony Association.

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City will host a Halloween Fun Shoot from 9 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. Fees will be discounted for all day and shooters who come in costume will receive one free round of twenty-five targets on a course of their choice. CARSON CITY — In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Carson High School NJROTC cadets sold pink aiguillettes to wear on their uniforms with all proceeds donated to the Carson Tahoe Health Cancer Center. The battalion provided an oversized check in the amount of $1,000 to Carson Tahoe Health representatives Angelina Craig, director of philanthropy, and Brittany Munns, philanthropy coordinator, yesterday on the football field.

Attention musicians! The Carson City Symphony, conducted by David Bugli, will begin rehearsals for the 39th annual Holiday Treat Concert on Wednesday, November 2, 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., at the Carson High School band/orchestra room, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City.
