(Carson City, NV)- Quad-County Emergency Operations Center (Quad EOC) is reporting three new positive cases and two additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 75, with 27 recoveries and one death, 47 cases remain active.

The new cases are:

A female Carson City resident in her 40’s
A female Lyon County resident in her 50’s
A female Douglas County resident in her 30’s

On Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at approximately 3:42 PM, NHP Troopers were dispatched to a serious injury crash involving two vehicles on US-50 and Highlands Drive in Mound House.

The preliminary investigation shows a green 1999 Honda CR-V and red 2011 Subaru Legacy were traveling eastbound on US-50. The Legacy slowed to make a right turn onto Highlands Drive.

For unknown reasons, the CR-V crossed into the travel lane occupied by the Legacy and struck the left rear of the vehicle.
