An early spring storm that brought snow to the Sierra and Lake Tahoe and a light dusting overnight around the Carson City area will linger this Easter Sunday morning before moving out. Drier and warmer weather is expected to start the work week, according to the National Weather Service.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is proud to partner with Avel eCare for Virtual Crisis Care, adding another, and much needed mental health resource in Lyon County. Reno physician, Dennis Yamamoto, MD, married his wife, Mary (Oberski) Yamamoto, in 1976. Both from large families, their wedding boasted a guest list of 375 people and it was a multi-day affair. It was a big start to what would be nearly 45 years of marriage as they pursued careers — Dr. Yamamoto in medicine and Mary in social work — raised their twin children and celebrated becoming grandparents to four grandsons.
