The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Carson City District Office is seeking the public’s assistance in investigating an act of recent vandalism in Brunswick Canyon south and east of Carson City.

The Carson Nugget Development Advisory Committee will meet Aug. 8 for possible action to recommend a "simplified and restructured program plan" to the Carson City Board of Supervisors for the Carson City Center Project, AKA Nugget Project.

The new plan calls for the formation of a not-for-profit entity that would take over ownership of the project.

CARSON CITY – Gov. Brian Sandoval had a teleconference with the Nevada press today from Kuwait, where he is staying in the midst of a week-long trip to the Middle East, including visits with Nevada troops at several bases in Iraq.
Sandoval left Monday with the governors of Kentucky, Tennessee and Utah on the trip, and he expects to return this weekend.

Carson City needs to bring back the race track, plain and simple. Since it has been torn down, the land has been nothing but be a haven for crime activity, sounds like a great trade-off to me. I think it was absurd for the race track to be taken in the first place. Saturday night racing became a summer tradition in Carson City.
