Your donation will pay for food, medical expenses, toys and other expenses we incur in the upkeep of the birds that we rescue. Recently, we received an African Grey that has plucked nearly all of her feathers out.

U.S. 395 has been closed six miles south of Gardnerville after a thunderstorm washed parts of a hillside into the roadway. Nevada Highway Patrol said no injuries were reported, but that one vehicle ruptured an oil pan after hitting a large rock.

Trooper Dan Lopez is reporting that it’s beginning to rain again in that area so a definitive time on the re-opening of the highway is questionable.
