Representatives from the Southwest Gas Foundation made a $10,000 donation to the Carson City Schools Foundation at the June 25 School Board meeting. The money was given to support the Jump Start College Program at Carson High School.

According to a University of Nevada, Reno alert, police and firefighters are on scene at the Scrugham Engineering and Mines building at their main campus for report of a fire.
