‘Ridezilla’ in Carson City hosts grand opening with ribbon cutting Saturday

Carson City’s Ridezilla, which took over the old Michael’s Cycles in 2022, held a ribbon cutting and grand opening Saturday to celebrate their new expanded space.

Ridezilla expanded the building in December, which now offers a 20,000 square foot showroom floor.

The Second Wind Thrift Store, operated by Carson City Senior Citizen’s Center, Inc. (CCSCC), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, fell victim to this years unprecedented winter.

The building suffered substantial damage that is beyond repair and to maintain the safety of the public the building is scheduled to be demolished in the coming weeks.

First responders dispatched to Carson City airport for report of plane going off runway, passenger with broken leg

Just before 2 p.m. dispatch received calls that an airplane had gone off the runway at the Carson City Airport.

One passenger is reported to have experienced a broken leg.
