With multiple state job openings and a need to fill those positions, the state will hold a number of hiring fairs beginning this Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Nevada State Library & Archive building in Carson City. Hiring fairs will also happen Oct. 11, 21, 24, and Nov. 2.

Mr. Daniel Honchariw, Senior Policy Analyst of the Nevada Policy Research Institute, will be our presenter. This is a refresher for the 2024 election, the second time it is on the ballot as required.

The Carson Senators Cycling MTB team took the top step on the podium at the Walker River Rendezvous cross country mountain bike meet Sunday Sept. 24 at Walker River Recreation Area in Yerington.

Fifteen teams from northern Nevada and the eastern Sierra participated in the meet. With Carson taking 1st, Mammoth 2nd, and Galena 3rd.
