AA Gaming Inc., and its owner Alan Adams, negotiated a settlement in February with the Nevada Gaming Control Board that will result in a $2,000 fine and the loss of the company's unrestricted gaming license.

AA Gaming was issued a license in 2008 to operate slot machines in Doppelganger's in downtown Carson City. AA Gaming continued to operate the slot machines after the bar reopened as High Sierra Brewery under new owner Jim Phalan. Adams continues to own the building.

Adams also formerly owned half of the Carson Nugget Casino until it was purchased by the Mae Adams Trust.

At approximately 5:30 am on Sunday, March 25th, 2012, deputies of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a call of suspicious circumstances - possible shots fired at the Nevada Ugly Bar, 1433 US Hwy 395, Gardnerville, Nevada.

Upon arrival at the location, deputies observed the front glass window of the business was fractured with numerous cracks.

Here is the Carson City road maintenance and construction report for the week of March 26 to April 1.
Beginning Tuesday, March 27, through Thursday, March 29, Edmonds Drive will be closed to through traffic between Clearview Drive and Bennett Avenue. Detours will be marked. In addition, there will be striping activity near the National Guard at the Fairview Drive and Edmonds Drive intersection on Monday, March 26, and Tuesday, March 27. Minor delays are expected.

Two Reno men pled guilty to killing two bull elk without a valid tag at the 4th Judicial District Court for Elko County stemming from an incident that occurred in November 2010.
Marty Hall, 45, and Larry Hall, 65, each pled guilty Monday to a gross misdemeanor of killing or possessing a bull elk without a valid tag.
The men had shot two bull elk in the original incident more than a year ago.
Marty Hall was assessed a $1,000 fine, a civil penalty of $2,500, $200 meat storage fee, and he forfeited a 2003 Yamaha Kodiak ATV.
