Two motorcycles were involved in a crash tonight on the Carson City I-580 Freeway, south of the North Carson Street off ramp. One person had non life-threatening injuries and was transported to Renown Medical Center in Reno.

Carson City fire and rescue responded to the incident, reported at 7:13 p.m. The Nevada Highway Patrol was also called to the scene, along with Carson City Fire Department and the Carson City Sheriff's Office.

A bill that would allow medical marijuana dispensaries in Nevada passed the State Senate 17-4 on Wednesday. SB374, introduced in March by Sen. Tick Segerblom, would authorize and regulate medical marijuana dispensaries to serve Nevadans with medical marijuana cards.

A Dayton man and Auburn, Calif., woman face felony charges after the stolen car he was driving crashed into a car causing injury on Saturday during a pursuit by Carson City Sheriff's patrol officers.

William Vuki Wilson, 32, faces six felony charges including leaving the scene of an accident, DUI drugs, possessing a stolen vehicle, eluding, drug possession and reckless driving causing substantial bodily harm.

One of the all-time greats of the San Francisco 49ers, three-time Super Bowl champion Roger Craig will serve as the keynote speaker at the 45th annual Governor’s Dinner in July, the Nevada athletics department announced Tuesday.

The dinner is set for July 12 at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City. Proceeds from the Governor's Dinner benefit student-athlete scholarships at the University of Nevada.

Directed by Jeff Fast and performed in traditional Shakespearean language and style, the play tells the story of a rich merchant who won’t allow his fair young daughter to marry until her shrewish older sister does.

Statewide taxable sales in Nevada for March increased by 5 percent over March 2012 and a 5.4 percent increase for the fiscal year, the state's Department of Taxation reports Tuesday. In Carson City, taxable sales increased by 10.9 percent, largely due to the Nevada Legislative session.
