After two years of teaching with the government’s Bureau of Indian Affairs in a small Inuit village in Chevak, Alaska, which is 500 miles from the nearest road, Nancy Scott and her family boarded a plane to continue their Alaskan adventure. In 1976 the Scott family re-settled in Stebbins, a village which is a little southeast of Nome, Alaska to continue their teaching careers.
