Six students from across Nevada will take the stage at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts on March 9 to compete in the 19th Annual Poetry Out Loud Nevada State Finals, a national arts education program and competition supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.

Meals on Wheels Carson City, operated by the Carson City Senior Center, is launching a month-long March for Meals fundraising campaign for Meal on Wheels. The timing of the March campaign is symbolic as it commemorates the historic day in March of 1972 when President Nixon signed into law a measure that amended the Older Americans Act of 1965 to include a national nutrition program for seniors 60 years and older.

Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Minden Rotary Club's "Giving Cup" Golf Tournament fundraiser to be held on May 18, 2024, at Genoa Lakes Golf Course, and continues our commitment to at-risk youth in the Carson Valley.

The Carson City Senior Center is hosting a Bingo fundraiser for Meals on Wheels on Monday, Feb. 19, doors open at 11 a.m. and games start at 1 p.m. Must be 21 to play. Snack bar will be open for sales. All proceeds benefit the Meals on Wheels program.
