Carson Tahoe Health unveils new Carson Tahoe Walkway connector

For the past 18 months Carson Tahoe Health has watched and anticipated the progress of its new connector bridge, designed to link the Regional Medical Center to Sierra Surgery, thus streamlining transfers between the two facilities and ultimately improving patient care.
On Wednesday morning, the Carson Tahoe internal community — including board members and staff — got a first hand look at what has been accomplished thus far as part of the new addition, named the Carson Tahoe Walkway, at its hospital medical campus at 1600 Medical Parkway.

NHP investigates fatal crash Tuesday east of Carson City on Highway 50 and State Route 341

The Nevada Highway Patrol is on scene of a fatal single vehicle crash that happened east of Carson City on Tuesday afternoon, blocking both lanes of westbound Highway 50 east of State Route 341 in Lyon County.
Carson City courts launch online traffic dispute resolution program

The Carson City Justice/Municipal Court is pleased to announce the launch of the Matterhorn Online Dispute Resolution program for eligible traffic cases.
Funded by a grant from the Department of Public Safety, Office of Criminal Justice Assistance, COVID Emergency Funding Program, the new program is user-friendly and a convenient way for the public to contest and resolve their traffic citation online by use of a home computer, tablet, laptop or smart phone.

CARSON CITY — Northern Nevada Development Authority announced Tuesday that President & CEO Robert “Rob” Hooper will retire later this year. A search is underway for his replacement to allow for a smooth leadership transition.

A 39-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday for suspicion of two counts felony child abuse among other offenses, according to a sheriff's office booking report.
