Nevada governor announces distance education plan approvals for districts, charter schools

Steve Sisolak announced 16 of Nevada’s 17 school districts — among them being Carson City, Douglas, Lyon and Storey counties — and all of Nevada’s charter schools submitted plans to the Nevada Department of Education and are approved to continue or start distance education.

A magnitude 2.07 earthquake shook the Carson City area at 9:13 p.m. Sunday, according to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory.
Open burning allowed with permit in Carson City until April 19
